We promote creating demonstration gardens in Chicago,
including signage, web links and community outreach. Type of demonstration gardens include flower beds, natives, pollinator habitat and edibles. Additionally, an important part of the project is to combine promoting urban public space beautification and biodiversity with job skills development for those with obstacles to employment in low income neighborhoods.
We’re just starting up in 2015. Our first efforts include projects in Back of the Yards and Woodlawn. We’ll be running a CSNL/IOBY fundraising campaign from 2/20 to 4/3/2015.
